About the studio In the woods surrounding Chapel Hill lies a modest yet inspiring project studio. Enjoy digital recording and production in a lodge retreat environment ideal for singer/songwriters, composers, and instrumentalists looking for higher sound quality than a typical home studio. The control room was conceptualized and treated acoustically by Wes Lachot Design. Create your next record here. Bands can record rhythm tracks live creating a cohesive vibe, multitrack each part or a combination of both. Our goal is to help artists capture inspired moments and performances and produce great, creative records. Jay Manley is the engineer/producer/arranger. We utilize Logic Pro, Apogee D/A converters and a Mac in conjunction with Rupert Neve designed British preamps, AKG, Rode and Shure microphones and Analysis-Plus Pro Oval cable. There is an assortment of string, keyboard and percussion instruments for tracking and performance. Audio Units plugins include URS “N” series EQ’s, G Force M-Tron mellotron, and Vienna Instruments.
